UK Donor Development Liaison

Position Objectives:

To coordinate the handling and answering of member/donor e-mails and letters for the Membership Services division of the Fundraising Office and to provide general administrative support for the Fundraising Office.

Term of Employment:

Full-time

Reports to:

Donor Development Executive

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensure that all letter, e-mail, and phone correspondence from members is handled in a timely, professional, and efficient manner
  • Ensure that all correspondence reflects organizational values and up-to-date information
  • Manipulate letter templates to produce specialized letters
  • Verify and input donor data into the membership database, including demographic, membership, and personal information
  • Assist with the preparation and proofreading of fundraising mailings and materials, topic background research, and copy research for mailings
  • Organize and maintain fundraising sample files
  • Assist with preparing and updating various fundraising reports
  • Assist with sending gift card acknowledgements
  • Process invoices, prepare check requests, and liaise with the Finance Department 
  • Liaise with external agencies as directed by the donor development manager
  • Provide general support for the Fundraising Office
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the donor development manager

Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with database systems, Microsoft Outlook, and the Windows operating system
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good proofreading skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Knowledge of animal rights issues and current PETA campaigns
  • Commitment to the objectives of the organization
