Researcher (Policy Department)
Position Objective:
To work on projects as assigned by the president to help promote the goals of the organization
Term of Employment:
Full-time
Reports to:
President
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct research on projects, as assigned by the supervisor
- Prepare analyses for review by research manager
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date files and briefing papers
- Assist research associates by drafting correspondence and responding to inquiries and requests
- Update and maintain Web sites related to assigned projects
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of college coursework or equivalent experience required
- One to three years of research experience required
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Efficient with regard to using computer programs such as Word, Excel, etc.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to interact and communicate with a variety of people in a a professional manner
- Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner
- Thorough knowledge of animal rights issues
- Commitment to the objectives of the organization
