Independent Contractors—Youth Outreach
PETA is seeking independent contractors for its youth division, peta2. Activities will include traveling on tours and to festivals and other events to represent the peta2 program to young people. Contractors will be responsible for delivering a strong message against cruelty to animals that will inspire young people to get active by signing petitions; reading and distributing literature; and watching and forwarding animal rights videos to friends and schoolmates.
A peta2 tour contractor must be:
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Responsible and able to work independently
- At least 21 years of age
- A careful driver with a valid U.S. driver's license and at least three years' clean driving record
- Prepared to travel extensively and keep a flexible schedule
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. repeatedly
- Supportive of PETA's philosophy and able to proficiently advocate PETA's positions on animal rights issues
Independent contractors are not employees and are not entitled to benefits.
