Audio-Visual Coordinator I

Position Objective:

To maintain an accurate and complete library of videos and equipment and act as a resource person, retrieving audio-visual (AV) materials and equipment for PETA staff, activists, and the media  

Term of Employment:

Full-time

Reports to:

Director of Communications and Broadcast Production Manager

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for independent oversight of the AV department, equipment, and videos
  • Maintain PETA’s AV library by following check-out procedures
  • Monitor all loans of video and photographic equipment
  • Responsible for quality control of all videos
  • Fulfill requests for copies of videos from PETA staff and media; maintain a complete inventory of same, making low-volume dubs of videos when necessary
  • Perform light maintenance on all video and photographic equipment and supplies
  • Monitor and tape all relevant news coverage, talk shows, and documentaries
  • Deal with special requests from activists and staff
  • Set up AV equipment for staff meetings, press conferences, etc.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Degree and/or experience in related field
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to deal professionally with staff members and the public
  • Proven experience with  industrial-grade video and photo equipment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a professional manner
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must have valid drivers license, with 3 years clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to travel when required
  • Commitment to the objectives of the organization
