Position Objective:
To provide clerical and administrative support to PETA's Corporate Affairs Department
Term of Employment:
Full-time
Reports to:
Assistant Director of Corporate Affairs
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Answer routine correspondence
- Provide logistical support to Corporate Affairs staff members (i.e., travel details, etc.)
- Answer, screen, and when possible, handle incoming telephone calls
- Update and maintain the CRM and/or other departmental file-management systems
- Serve as the liaison to the Finance, Operations and other support departments
- Fill out expense and credit-card report forms for Corporate Affairs staff members each month
- Liaise with the Human Resources Department regarding Corporate Affairs interns, and ensure that department interns are completing projects appropriately
- Perform any other duties required by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- One to two years of prior experience in an office environment required
- Excellent typing, word-processing, and data-entry skills (minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent, upbeat telephone manner
- Commitment to the objectives of the organization
