Meet PETA and the PETA Foundation Staff: Renée
PETA Latino Project Manager
A Southern California native, I work from PETA’s Bob Barker Building in Los Angeles and spend my days figuring out creative ways to draw media attention to the plight of abused animals worldwide. Some of my day-to-day activities include coordinating campaigns with compassionate celebrities (my past projects have featured Kate del Castillo, Rubén Albarrán, Carla Morrison, and Marco Antonio Regil), building relationships with members of the media in the United States and Latin America to encourage them to cover important stories about animals, promoting healthy vegan eating to the Latino community, and acting as a Spanish-language spokesperson for the organization. At PETA, every day is different and brings exciting new challenges and victories.
In my spare time, I enjoy making vegan mac ‘n’ cheese for my nephews and niece, watching Dodger baseball, and playing tug of war with my favorite mutt, Charlie.
