Illinois Store Stops Poisoning Birds!

April 2014

After we were alerted that pans of bird seed laced with an unknown poison were being used at a garden center in Illinois, we quickly contacted the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, which determined that the pest control company that was being used by the store had been licensed by the state Public Health Department to control birds with herbicide. We then contacted the store’s CEO and manager, who made the compassionate decision to remove the poison and to use anti-roosting coils instead.
