Washington, D.C. -- Wearing nothing but a bikini fashioned from strategically placed lettuce leaves, Playboy Playmate Lauren Anderson will hand out healthful and delicious veggie dogs, along with vegetarian starter kits, on Capitol Hill to mark National Veggie Dog Day--health-smart and compassionate consumers' answer to the National Hot Dog & Sausage Council's declaration of July 18 as "National Hot Dog Day."
Date: Wednesday, July 18
Time: 12 noon
Place: Rayburn House Office Building courtyard, Independence Avenue entrance
"Not only are veggie dogs a lot better for your health and for animals, they also taste better than greasy meat hot dogs by a long shot," says Anderson. "If people knew about the disgusting body parts and the animal suffering that go into every meat dog, they'd lose their lunch!"
