Hit the Streets and Promote Compassionate Holiday Shopping This Fur-Free Friday! |

On the heels of some major victories for animals killed for their skins—including the decisions by online retail powerhouse Zappos.com and Juicy Couture (a high-end clothing company) to adopt permanent fur-free policies—we're calling on animal advocates around the country to take some time this Fur-Free Friday to encourage shoppers not to buy any fur this holiday season. What better way is there to burn off that extra piece of vegan pumpkin pie than to hit the streets and educate shoppers about the cruelty of the fur industry and ask them to shop compassionately? Please contact PETA's skins activist liaison, Heather Whidden, to organize a demonstration in your town. If you'd rather keep it simple and hand out literature outside a local shop or mall with a few friends, fill out this form, and we'll send you 100 of our "Celeb Fur" leaflets and 75 "Fake for the Animals' Sake" stickers. We'll even include a free "No Fur" button for the first 250 demo pack and literature orders received. So, get those orders in today! Need more inspiration? Check out some pictures from last year's Fur-Free Friday demos, or contact PETA's activist liaisons to brainstorm more ideas. Let's make this Fur-Free Friday the biggest yet! |
